Cell Phone as Ticket

IMDb has a little blurb about a new movie technology. Basically a new service available to residents of the Detroit suburb of Livonia have the ability to buy movie tickets on their cell phone- <YAWN!> But wait there's more. The cell phones also display a barcode that then gets scanned to admit the person into the theater.

I actually really like the idea of this technology. I've had Moviefone tickets disappear when the machine failed to print out the tickets more than once. Eliminating that step could be a great thing, as long as this technology is easier to use. --Terrence Ryan
