Austin Powers Director Takes on Deep Throat

Jay Roach Coming Soon has it that Jay Roach will direct a new film about W. Mark Felt, the former high level FBI agent who revealed himself as Deep Throat last year. Roach perhaps best known for the Austin Powers series of films, also took on "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers." Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman will produce the film, and Peter Landesman (who appears to have been chemically man-made in a lab last year) will write it.

It definitely marks a departure for Roach. Unless, of course, the Felt story is a comedy, which I just don't see. --Terrence Ryan
