IMDb had a small blurb that Kevin James and Adam Sandler will be headlining a new flick called "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." The movie tells the story of two straight firefighters in Philadelphia who masquerade as a gay couple in order to grab domestic partner benefits. Evidently it's bounced around for a few years and it's not clear if it will actually get made. However according to an interview by the BBC it appears that director David Dobkin ("Wedding Crashers")is signed on to direct.
Both articles mention Philadelphia prominently in the description. This makes me excited, hopefully it will restore my pride in Philadelphia film. I know what you're thinking, a possibly homophobic Sandler vehicle? That's going to restore your pride? May I remind you that Rocky VI is shooting in Philadelphia at the moment. --Terrence Ryan
