Bernie Mac Turns Dramatic

Bernie Mac Hollywood Reporter has it that Bernie Mac is looking to turn dramatic in the upcoming PDR. PDR stands for Philadelphia Department of Recreation, and tells the story of coach who turns inner city kids around through excellence in swimming. Mac is looking to play the supporting role of a janitor who helps the coach fight the closing of the rec center.

It's being produced by "Lionsgate" and will be the directorial debut of Sunu Gonera. No word yet on where the pic will shoot, other than "East Coast" but I'm hoping it's in Philadelphia. --Terrence Ryan
