The Star has an article about the fortunes of Paul Haggis post Oscar win. Haggis, who was the writer and director of "Crash" has evidently been suffering a backlash since his victory. Fellow auteur David Cronenberg, is pissed cause he also made a movie named "Crash." (Also he didn't get any awards for "A History of Violence") Canadians are pissed off because he evidently sold out his Canadian roots. Liberals are pissed at him because his movie beat "Brokeback Mountain." (You know racism is like... sooooo last century.)
I'm sorry Mr. Haggis, for everyone else, I'm not pissed at you. You wrote for catch phrases for Arnold and Willis in "Diff'rent Strokes." You scribed lines for Tutti in the "Facts of Life." You created "Walker, Texas Ranger"
I could never be mad at you...--Terrence Ryan
