Downloadable Movies have Arrived

Computer Business Review Online is reporting that Amazon is getting in on the digital movie business. They are citing 'recent press reports.' This comes off the heels of the rumors that Amazon was opening a digital music store. It looked like they were only going to compete with ITunes, but now they are going to surpass ITunes... for now.

This is a real signal that digital movies are going to hit the mainstream very soon. It's not a indication that consumer are pushing for it, but it is an indication that Amazon thinks that people will pay for it. With Amazon's backing, and interface, digital movies are going to be huge. --Terrence Ryan
