IMDb has a blurb about Kate Beckinsdale and the possibility of her being cast as the titular character in 'Wonder Woman.' Short story even shorter, Beckinsdale is in talks with the director Joss Whedon, and it looks favorable that she will get the role. If Beckinsdale gets the role, she will beat out a few women who have worked closely with Whedon. Charisma Carpenter and Sarah Michelle Gellar were both talked about for the role, but neither have the juice that Beckinsdale has.
I'm a huge fan of Whedon. As much as I like Carpenter and Gellar, Beckinsdale has much more heat these days, and I like to see it associated with him. On the other side of it, I think Beckinsdale will benefit from work with a director other than her husband. --Terrence Ryan
Update: It's a hoax. I should have dug deeper than IMDb. My apologies to anyone who read this.
Re: Wonder Woman casting. Why does wveryone assume that the best person for this role MUST be an American. I love that Mr. Whedon is seriously considering Indian Prinyaka Chopra and I wish he'd look at Canadian/Indian Lisa Ray ("Bollywood/Hollywood"). She'd be great and already has the blue eyes!
