Superhero Spoof Sped

You have to love alliteration. Cinema Confidential is reporting that production on a planned superhero parody film from David Zucker ("Scary Movie 4") has been kicked into high gear. The film is slated for release February 9, 2007. This comes off of a weekend of very good numbers for "Scary Movie 4."

The general consensus is that the genre is ripe for spoofing as it hasn't received the treatment other genres has gotten. Personally, I believe the genre hasn't gotten the parody treatment because "Greatest American Hero" basically said everything there was to say on the subject. We'll see who is right. --Terrence Ryan
