"Mamma Mia" to the Screen

The Independent is reporting that the hit musical "Mamma Mia" is coming to the big screen. The movie will be produced by Tom Hanks and his production partner, Gary Goetzman. The musical has been out for 5 years, has been seen by over 20 million people, and has grossed over $1.6 billion dollars. So it's no big surprise that someone would want a piece of that, and a chance to take to an even wider audience.

There are no production details yet. There's an indication that they are looking at stars for the flick though. --Terrence Ryan
