Another Studio Comes to Louisiana

The Louisiana Weekly has a brief announcement regarding a new studio coming to the still-recovering state. Sterling Studios is looking to set up a studio in or around the Baton Rouge-Lafayette area. They're looking for 30,000 to 50,00 sq. ft. of production space, on 3 -5 acres of land. They'll be looking to shoot everything from commercials and music videos to TV shows, and feature films there.

LA Politics puts the time frame for a decision on location at 30 to 60 days. They would be created up to 300 new jobs and bringing up to $150 million to the area over the next 5 years. Or so they hope. --Terrence Ryan
