Stars' Paychecks Cut

IMDb has a little blurb about several top stars pricing themselves out of work. Basically a bunch of $25 million per flick stars aren't getting called for roles due to poor performance in the past. Among the stars cited were Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, and Eddie Murphy.

I for one couldn't be happier. I don't object on principle to starts making money. But, star salary pressure has caused movie costs to soar. High movie costs lead to skittish investors. Skittish investors lead to an increase in remakes and TV show movies. An increase in TV show movies leads to "Bewitched." "Bewitched" leads to a salary decrease for Nicole Kidman and Will Farrell.

See guys, you did it to yourselves. --Terrence Ryan
