Jolie Takes On Tigress In DreamWorks' "Kung Fu Panda"

Kung Fu PandaAccording to Variety, new mama Angelina Jolie has chosen her first post-baby project - she will lend her voice to DreamWorks Animation's "Kung Fu Panda."

Jolie joins Hollywood heavy-hitters Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and Ian McShane in the computer animated film.

"Kung Fu Panda" is the story of a lowly waiter in a noodle restaurant whose large shape (yes, he's a panda) doesn't lend itself to kung fu fighting. However, when powerful enemies are at the gates, all hopes are pinned on a prophesy naming Po as the "Chosen One" to save the day.

Jolie will voice Tigress, one of the "furious five" martial-arts masters who helps train Po (Black) to become Kung Fu Panda.

The film is currently scheduled for release in May 2008. -- Shannon Nolley
