Sissy Spacek, Troy Garity and musician Dave Matthews are set to star in the family drama "Lake City," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Spacek and Garity will play a mother and son who have been estranged after a tragedy. They reunite under dire circumstances in order to save their home. Matthews will play the villain. (Cue ominous mustache twirling music.)
Perry Moore and Hunter Hill, who co-wrote the film and are making their feature directorial debuts, wrote the role of the mother specifically for Spacek.
Spacek's credits include her Oscar-winning role as Loretta Lynn in "Coal Miner's Daughter," five additional Academy Award nominations (including one for her role in the outstanding "In the Bedroom") and three Golden Globe Awards. She can next be seen in "Gray Matters" and the comedy "Hot Rod."
Garity's credits include "Soldier's Girl," "After the Sunset" and the "Barbershop" movies. His upcoming films include "A Day in the Life" and "Sunshine."
Matthews starred in the family films "Where the Red Fern Grows" and "Because of Winn-Dixie." You can check out what Matthews and his band are up to via the band's website.
