Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Kate Mara, Eduardo Noriega, Ben Kingsley and Thomas Kretschmann are set to star in "Trans-Siberian," the next film by "The Machinist" director Brad Anderson, according to Variety.
The crime thriller revolves around an American couple (Harrelson and Morton) traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway from China to Moscow. When they meet another couple (Mara and Noriega), the result is a train ride of deception and murder. Kingsley and Kretschmann will play Russian police officers in search of the killers of a drug dealer.
Anderson seems to be quite good at communicating a creepy story. Both "The Machinist" and "Session 9" were subtle, moody and eerie pieces. His style will certainly lend well to the "thrill" part of this crime thriller. Anderson's most recent work can be seen on Showtime's "Masters of Horror" series. He directed the episode "Sounds Like" that aired November 17.
