79th Annual Academy Awards Nominees Announced

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know awards season is in full swing, and Oscar has just named his guest list. Announced this morning, you will find below the list of nominees for the 79th annual Academy Awards, to be handed out on February 25th.

(This year's crop does raise a few eyebrows, as usual. For instance, the absence of favorite "Dreamgirls" from the Best Picture category, and Leonardo DiCaprio being nominated for "Blood Diamond" rather than for "The Departed." Also, what is the "Borat" screenplay adapted from, exactly?--Heinlein's"Stranger in a Strange Land?")
