Everyone's current favorite Va-Voom Girl, Scarlett Johansson, has been named Woman of the Year by Harvard's Hasty Pudding theatrical group. (Johansson was also recently named the "Sexiest Woman Alive" by Esquire Magazine, but there's no scientific proof that the male student voters were in any way swayed by that accolade.) She will receive her award on February 15; the ceremony involves her leading a parade of frat guys dressed in drag around Harvard Square. Who says that Mardi Gras spirit isn't alive and well in New England?
After everyone has calmed down, actor and comedian Ben Stiller will be dubbed Man of the Year, and will receive his award at a roast on February 23. No word yet on whether or not Stiller will dress in drag when he receives his Golden Pudding Pot.
Hasty Pudding Theatricals has been around since the late 1700s, when it was originally formed as a fraternity. They have been putting on productions since 1844, and giving out their Woman and Man of the Year awards since 1951 and 1967, respectively.
