Ellen D. on MySpace

Remember that little moment during the Oscar broadcast, when Ellen DeGeneres roamed the aisle and found Clint Eastwood (who was disappointed she didn't have a script to give him, as she'd done with Martin Scorsese)?

Ellen produced a digital camera and then recruited Steven Spielberg to take a cozy fan shot of her with Eastwood. (Twice--as it turned out, the famed director apparently didn't correctly frame the shot the first time.)

Ellen was pretty happy with the second shot (as was Eastwood) and quipped that she'd post it up on her MySpace page.

Well, reader, she did.

I think it's kind of bizarre that she has a private profile...

She's not on myspace, and she's said that several times. She's posted that picture on her website, ellentv.com , and doubtless a devoted fan took the picture for their myspace.

It is difficult to say if Ellen DeGeneres actually has a MySpace account or not. I became confused after becoming convinced that "ellendegeneres" at MySpace was the real Ellen DeGeneres, (which has recently become deleted, along with "portiade" and "vancedegeneres."

There are many sites on MySpace claiming to be either Ellen DeGeneres or her "fan site". It is VERY confusing. Some have the Clint Eastwood photo and some don't. It is all anyone's guess at this time. I even received comments in my MySpace "Inbox", saying Ellen was purely joking about a myspace account at the Oscars and she didn't actually have a MySpace Account at all. One of those messages came to me from an attorney's office, on MySpace, out of Los Angeles... (that is, if the attorney was
actually authentic to begin with.)
