"Sweeney Todd" Delayed for Now

Mirroring reports in the, uh, Daily Mirror, IGN today states that Tim Burton's production of "Sweeney Todd" is currently on hold while lead actor Johnny Depp attends to his ailing four-year-old daughter Lily.

A quick check of the Mirror's site, however, uncovers an article dated March 9 in which Depp states Lily is "better" and describes the entire Depp family leaving the hospital in something of an "exhausted" state.

In that same article, a Dreamworks rep is quoted as saying they've "adjusted his schedule" but the IGN article, dated today (March 13), states that Depp has not yet returned to work on the film. Principal photography is taking place at fabled Pinewood Studios, where layoffs might take place (surely meaning a further stall in production) if Depp cannot return to work by the weekend.
