Esquire cover girl Hilary Swank is negotiating to produce and star in a remake of "Confidences trop intimes," a French mistaken-identity comedy about a woman who goes to what she believes is a new psychotherapist, but ends up in the office of an accountant, and pouring out her soul.
Paramount Classics (now Paramount Vantage) released the original film, directed by Patrice Leconte, in 2004. Paramount (proper) will be the production studio for the remake as well.
Swank, twice an Oscar winner, could use a meaty role about now. She was recently in the much-drubbed drama "Freedom Writers," and stars in the just-premiered horror film "The Reaping."
