Mike Myers Signs on to Remake Danny Kaye Classic

Mike Myers (currently starring in Shrek 3) has signed on to do a re-make of “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”. Classic movie enthusiasts will remember Danny Kaye in the original movie from 1947 that also starred Virginia Mayo and Boris Karloff.

The script is being rewritten by Jay Kogen who has written for “The Simpsons”, “Frasier” and "The Class" just to name a few. Jim Carrey and Owen Wilson had both previously been attached to the movie, but those efforts didn’t pan out. The new version will be written with Meyers specifically in mind.

Myers currently has a lot of other stuff on his plate too. He is also slated to start work on “The Love Guru”, “See Me, Feel Me: Keith Moon Naked for Your Pleasure” (yup, drummer for The Who), and “How to Survive a Robot Uprising”.

As if that wasn’t enough, he is also starting to think about another “Austin Powers” sequel, supposedly told from Dr. Evil’s viewpoint.
