Popular PC Game "The Sims" Heading for the Big Screen

I guess it is true all video games can be made into movies. As to whether they should, we will have to wait and see. According to Variety, 20th Century Fox will be making a movie of the ever-popular PC game “The Sims”. Going strong for the past five years, it is the best selling game in history with $1.6 billion brought in worldwide.

The picture is slated now to be a live-action version of the video game. Steve Asbell is heading things up for Fox and Rod Humble will be overseeing for Electronic Arts. Brian Lynch is said to be writing the script, but it is being tightly held under wraps.

If there have been any casting decisions, they are also being kept quiet at this point in time.

John Davis is the person who Fox has chosen to run this venture. He has most recently worked on “Norbit”, “When a Stranger Calls” and “Eragon”.
