Anne Hathaway Goes to “War”

Anne Hathaway has signed on to star alongside Kate Hudson in New Regency’s upcoming comedy “Bride Wars”, according to Variety.

The story focuses on two best friends whose relationship is tested when they mistakenly schedule their respective weddings on the same day. The movie will follow them as they engage in a bitter war about who will have the most guests and the better venue.

Gary Winick will direct a script by June Raphael and Casey Rose Wilson. Hudson is also set to produce.

Hathaway most recently starred as Jane Austen in “Becoming Jane.” She has recently wrapped filming for Peter Segal’s action comedy “Get Smart”, in which she stars alongside Steve Carell and Alan Arkin.

Winick’s directing credits include the Jennifer Garner vehicle “13 Going on 30.” He most recently directed “Charlotte’s Web.”

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson going one-on-one for the best wedding? I can’t wait!
