Sci Fi's "Battlestar Galactica" has gotten its share of accolades (I know this because every commercial on Sci Fi tells me all about it), but the hype is deserved. "Battlestar" is one of the finest shows on television. Hell, it's one of the finest television shows ever.
The second season just wrapped and my god (sorry, gods), was it a stunner. Every episode served up a potent mix of drama, sci-fi, religion, action and character. Even better, the battle scenes kicked significant and sustained ass.
If you haven't been caught in "Battlestar's" orbit, now is a good time to get acquainted with Starbuck, Apollo, Roslin, Baltar, Admiral Adama and the rest. The first season and a half is available on DVD (that "half" thing is kinda weird -- they released the first 10 episodes of season two a couple months ago). If you want a true crash-course, fire up iTunes and start downloading: every single episode is there for the taking (with a $1.99 charge, of course). You've got plenty of time to catch up -- season three begins in October (seven ... long ... months).
And while you're immersing yourself in all things "Battlestar" (shameless plug!), visit our very own Battlestar Fodder for episode reviews and stimulating conversation.
I look forward to the third season of this great show and I really do hope that you get nominated to win the Emmy. You guys deserve it. And to Mr. Edward James Olmos, thank you for a wonderful advance birthday gift. I cannot believe you actually found the time to do something nice for me. I did not think you would actually do it for me. But you did. Thank you for the personalize pictures.

Kudos to the whole entire cast of Battlestar Galactica from the men and women in the Arm Forces. We have nothing else to say but thank you for a stellar second season. We are all still stunned by the ending of the season 2. We just wish that we did not have to wait 7 months for the Season 3 premier. Please come back a little earlier than that.
