Clooney and Soderbergh Co. Cast "Wind Chill"

Clooney - Wind ChillVariety is reporting that Ashton Holmes and Emily Blunt have been cast as the leads in Revolution Studios' supernatural horror movie "Wind Chill," from producers George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh, their Section Eight production company and Blue Print Pictures.

"Wind Chill" centers on two college students who share a ride home for the holidays, but break down on a deserted stretch of road, where they are menaced by the ghosts of those who died there.

Greg Jacobs is directing the script by Joe Gangemi and Steven Katz ("Shadow of the Vampire"). Jacobs has also directed several other films under the Section Eight banner.

Holmes most recently starred in New Line's "A History of Violence" and on an episode of TV's "Ghost Whisperer." Blunt recently wrapped Fox's "The Devil Wears Prada," starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and also appeared in the TV mini-series "Empire."

Section Eight has been producing lots of films recently, including the critically acclaimed "Good Night, and Good Luck," and "Syriana," which also star Clooney.

In related news, it was also just announced that Jerry Weintraub and Warner Brothers have given the green light to "Oceans Thirteen" - a second sequel to the Clooney and Soderbergh film "Oceans Eleven," with the goal of putting the film into production later this year. -- Shannon Nolley
