"Firefly" Companion Book On The Way?

According to TV Squad, Titan Books, publisher of the a companion book to the movie "Serenity," is preparing a companion book to the "Firefly" television series.

Creator Joss Whedon wrote the introduction to the "Serenity" companion, which features the original script to the movie, storyboards, production notes and behind-the-scenes footage. There's no word on whether Joss will endorse the new book.

Some folks say the studios are trying to squeeze every bit of cash out of fans of the series (aka Browncoats). However, most real fans have felt robbed for so long - cut off from their very lifeline - they we will take whatever we can get. I don't know how many articles I've written begging folks to buy buy buy the "Firefly" and "Serenity" DVDs. I still mean it! I'd be in heaven if even the SciFi Channel picked up the movies or the series or whatever. Just more adventures of the Serenity crew, please.

Firefly: The Official Companion is slated for release this summer. Let's just hope it really happens. --Shannon Nolley
