Lucas In Line For "Two Face"?
According to Moviehole, the man who battled The Hulk may soon be taking on the Caped Crusader.
Actor Josh Lucas, who played The Hulk's sleazy nemesis in Ang Lee's movie, is reportedly in line to play Harvey "Two Face" Dent in the upcoming "Batman Begins" sequel.
Should Lucas agree to play the Gotham City District Attorney, he'll be required to sign on for two "Batman" films. The character is slated to be introduced in the next "Batman" film, but won't transform into his malevolent two-headed coin flipping alter ego "Two Face" until the film after.
However, Lucas recently posted to his own website that he will be taking a break from physically demanding roles following a serious accident on the set of his upcoming film "Poseidon." During a stunt, Lucas fell 15 ft and tore several ligaments in his thumb, resulting in several casts and surgery.
What this injury means for his bid for the "Batman" gig remains to be seen. Liev Schreiber and Denzel Washington are also rumored to be possible candidates for the role.
Lucas - whose other credits include "Wonderland," "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Stealth" - can next be seen in "Glory Road," which opens in the U.S. on January 13th. -- Shannon Nolley
