According to Variety, Oded Fehr will reprise his role as Carlos Olivera in the third installment of the "Resident Evil" franchise.
Prior to his role in the second "Resident" film, "Resident Evil: Apocalypse," Fehr was best known to audiences as the dark, desert hero Ardeth Bay of "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns."
"Resident Evil: Extinction," adapted from the videogame, revolves around the continuing battle of Alice and her allies against the evil Umbrella Corporation.
As with the prior installments, Paul W.S. Anderson has written the screenplay. Russell Mulcahy ("Ricochet" and "Swimming Upstream") will direct.
The cast of "Extinction" includes Milla Jovovich, returning as Alice, Mike Epps as L.J., Iain Glen as Dr. Isaacs and Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine.
Fehr currently stars in Showtime's "Sleeper Cell," which has been renewed for a second season.
