The Shatner DVD Club is having a contest, with the prize of William Shatner recording a custom message for use on your answering machine!

So, picture having Captain Kirk answering your phone, saying 'Fred's.....not..here. Please....leave a....message...at...the..........beep.' Or, maybe we could get a nice rendition of 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'.

Personally, I hope Condoleezza Rice enters and wins the contest. Then, the recording could be 'KAAAAHHHHHNNNNN........doleezza is not available right now'. That would be awesome.

The contest ends on July 31st.



All I would have William Shatner say on my outgoing voicemail message would be ...DENNY CRANE!

Denny has a way to go to equal the Captain...but, definately one of the best Shatner characters ever!
