Sci-Fi News and Reviews

Monday Sci-Fi Diversions

I was searching around the web this weekend and came across a few interesting diversions. These fall in to the 'oldies but goodies' category.

First up, I found this very amusing 'Geek Hierarchy'. It is a poster-worthy chart that ranks where you stand among other sci-fi geeks. Furries (if you don't know, don't ask) obviously get the low end of the chart. I also got a big kick out of how Heinlein fans feel that they are less geeky that Piers Anthony fans. Right on!

Second, I found this test to determine which fantasy or sci-fi character that you most resemble. It is a short test, but there is a large array of characters that are listed in the results. I was Harry Potter. You'd think I could have been a more adult, masculine character...but, no, I am a teenager who casts a few spells. Woot. (Now, I love Harry...I just didn't identify myself with him. I was hoping for someone like Captain Kirk.)

The statistics page also has links to several other tests, including a Dungeons and Dragons character test. I would mention the link to the famous Bartle Test, which examined the your MMO gaming style, but the test is down indefinately until a new host is found for it.

Enjoy!
