"Battlestar Galactica" Diversions

I have been saving up some recent random "Battlestar Galactica" links that I found enjoyable. I hope they make Friday a bit more bearable!

The first is from Scott Adams. You know, Scott Adams, the creator of "Dilbert". He posted a recent blog article on Dilbert's use of 'Frak' in a recent (12-8-2006) comic. Of course, he spelled it 'Frack' - and was promptly corrected by his blog readers (I restrained myself). Adams has the best layman explanation 'Frak' ever:

Galactica is a military ship under continuous threat of annihilation by Cylons. If you were on that ship, you’d be cursing too. For example, you might be tempted to yell “frack!” when you discover that the hot chick who fracked your brains out is actually a frackin’ Cylon who is now pregnant with your frackin’ baby that is half human and half frackin’ toaster.

Heh - he's good. You know a meme is hitting the big time when it is used in unrelated mediums - first, "Veronica Mars" says 'Frak' and now, "Dilbert". It's a part of the frakking language now.

In tribute of this triumph, I went online and found this hilarious video comparison of the orginal Battlestar Galactica to the current version. As they say in the video "...It's so much better than the one with Lorne Greene."

Finally, for those of you who 'just have to see Lee and Kara together', this this is the best of the shipper videos. It's set to Hinder's "Lips of an Angel" and even I (who likes watching Baltar and the cylons more than the 'romance') admit that it works pretty well. I downloaded it for my wife...really!

Last BSG of '06!!!!!!!!!! And last one on Scifi Friday! Boohoo!
