"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" Trailer
The trailer for the "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" is now online. And, wow, it is pretty good!
I thought the first movie was OK. Not great, not terrible, just OK. If I go all comic purist, I think the movie missed out on the competiveness of Doom on an intellectual level with Reed - the movie made it seem like Doom only wanted to win Sue, not beat Reed with his mind. And, Ben never would have never....ahhhh, don't get me started! Aside from the 'I didn't picture the character that way' arguments, the movie was pretty decent from a pure action movie standpoint. Good effects, an excelllent introduction to the Four's powers and lots of action.

The new movie has Julian McMahon listed in the cast, so Doom will be back. But, from the trailer, it looks like the Silver Surfer will be the primary focus. The Silver Surfer looks incredible, almost like a Terminator 3 liquid metal being. The chase between the Surfer and the Human Torch was well done, especially with the Surfer flying into the upper atmosphere to snuff out Johnny's flame...and then letting him fall. Whoa.
"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" is targeted for a release date of June 15, 2007.
