US "Doctor Who" Season 3 Debut Set

Variety Magazine, among others, is reporting that the Sci Fi Channel has officially picked up the rights to air season three of the current "Doctor Who" series. Season three is currently airing in the UK.

The new set of episodes will premiere in July, starting with "The Doctor Who Christmas Special: The Runaway Bride". One of the big draws for the season will be the debut of the Doctor's new companion - "Martha Jones" (played by Freema Agyeman). From what I have heard around the web, she's pretty good!

Although I was disappointed by the departure of Christopher Eccleston at the end of Season One (he's now "Claude" on NBC's "Heroes'), I quickly warmed up to his replacement, David Tennant. Tennant is excellent in the role. Just one word of warning - it takes an episode or three to 'get' the humor, especially if you are a US viewer. It's worth the effort, though, as the show is strong. And, honestly, what else are you watching this summer?

Who can i contact to find out if Doctor Who will be back for season four on the scifi network? I have sent them feedback three times already and they are not answering me yet. Do you think it may be shown on bbc america if not on scifi? Lisa Bowman
