"Robot Chicken: Star Wars" Trailer Online

While Fred is away, I just had to make sure folks know that the trailer for the "Robot Chicken: Star Wars" event has been posted to the Starwars.com site. (See embedded version of trailer below.)

The 30 minute stop-motion animation special for Adult Swim was developed by "Robot Chicken" creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich - with a little help from "Star Wars" creator George Lucas.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Star Wars" special was developed with Lucasfilm's approval at every stage, including providing Green and Senreich with help on with sound bites for Chewbacca and R2-D2.

While I know at least some of the bits in the trailer were from other episodes of "Robot Chicken," I can't wait to see this! I'm a big fan of the show and have made a point of exposing others to its (often wrong) sketches.

The special will premiere at 10 p.m. June 17 on Adult Swim, kicking off a best-of "Robot Chicken" marathon. -- Shannon Nolley
