The Ultimate Superman DVD Set

If you are a Superman fan, there is one set of DVDs that you simply *have* to own. Warner Home Video released "The Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition" last November, but, if you were like me, it sold out before you could pick up a copy. In fact, this DVD collection sold out nationwide in a single month.

Well, lucky for us, it is back. "The Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition" will hit the shelves on May 29 for all of us not quick enough the first time.

I know my Superman fanboy streak is coming through, but consider the inventory in this collection:

• "Superman Returns" Special Edition


• "Superman II": The Richard Donner Cut


• "Superman: The Movie" Four Disc Special Edition


• "Superman II" Two Disc Special Edition


• "Superman II"I Deluxe Editions


• "Superman IV" Deluxe Editions


• Superman issue #7 reproduction comic book


• Superman overview booklet


• Bonus Feature: "Look Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman"


• Bonus Feature: "You Will Believe: The Cinematic Saga of Superman"


• Bonus Feature: Bryan Singer's video journals during "Superman Returns"

The DVD will be back in stores on May 29 and will retail at $99.92. There is also a special offer to send in a mail-in offer for five limited edition Superman theatrical movie posters through March 2008.

So - let's summarize. A 14-disc "Superman" with six films and 20+ hours of bonus features in a collectors tin for about 100 bucks. Even though I'll have to break the piggy bank to get this, it sounds like a pretty good value - at least, to a Superman fanboy like me!
