Whoa! CBS Listens to "Jericho" Fans!

Well - good job! It is evident that the public reaction to the cancellation of "Jericho" has had an effect!

Here is a note on CBS.com from Nina Tassler, the entertainment president for CBS, which was posted this weekend:

To the fans of Jericho:

We have read your emails over the past few days and have been touched by the depth and passion with which you have expressed your disappointment. Please know that canceling a television series is a very difficult decision. Hundreds of people at the Network, the production company and the incredibly-talented creative team worked very hard to build and serve the community for this show -- both on-air and online. It is a show we loved too.

Thank you for supporting Jericho with such passion. We truly appreciate the commitment you made to the series and we are humbled by your disappointment. In the coming weeks, we hope to develop a way to provide closure to the compelling drama that was the Jericho story.

Sincerely,
Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment

"...In the coming weeks, we hope to develop a way to provide closure to the compelling drama that was the Jericho story..."

To me, this means they are trying to figure out a way to resolve the cliffhanger. How will they do it? Nobody really has any idea at the moment. But, what we do know is that CBS finally listened to its viewers and is making an effort to assuage the fan's anguish over the cancellation.

It's a start. At the very least, this olive branch is much better than the blatant indifference exhibited by FOX. Hopefully, they will film a producer's clip show, or provide a TV movie to close the gap, rather than just publish a memo with the resolution to the cliffhanger. If you have a good idea on how CBS should proceed, write them!

NUTS to CBS!

What was their reason for pulling the plug in the first place? Good grief, they kept "Yes Dear" alive for several seasons. This is a show that can build a "cult" following. They need to give it time to get people hooked. I already am!

DON'T TEASE US WITH A STUPID MINI FINALE. KEEP JERICHO ALIVE!!!!

Nothing short of a 2nd season will be accepted. This is a placation move because CBS is against the wall. We will settle for nothing less than a second season... either on CBS, or on another network.

The decision is easy CBS. Continue the series, or the bombardment continues.

We want a second season of JERICHO.
They left us hanging. That is so WRONG!
Why should we watch any of their shows if that's the way they are going to treat us?
WE are the reason why they are successful. THEY should give US what WE want instead of the other way around.
Tell Nina thanks but no thanks on that closure.

KEEP UP THE FIGHT!!!
