"Jericho" Close to Renewal

Michael Ausiello at TVGuide is reporting that "...Multiple sources are telling me that CBS is thisclose to sealing a deal to bring Jericho back for at least eight episodes, possibly at mid-season."

That is big news!

The Nuts campaign is exerting a huge influence. This outpouring (or out-nutting, I suppose) of support is forcing CBS to take notice of the show. I previously posted that Nina Tassler (President of CBS Entertainment) had said, "...In the coming weeks, we hope to develop a way to provide closure to the compelling drama that was the Jericho story." It looks like she is going to deliver on that promise.

Let's temper our enthusiasm until an official announcement is released - but, it is looking pretty good for more episodes of "Jericho"! Now, let's hope that the order is for a full season, rather than just a closure-bringing eight episodes.
