Blog Like It's the End of the World
Tomorrow is June 13th - which means Zombies will be attacking!
At least, that is the brainstorm of the guys over at My Elves are Different, who are coordinating the "Blog Like It's the End of the World (BLITEOTW)" event.
The idea behind the event is simple. It's a Zombiegeddon! Over 60 blogs and websites have signed up to post as if an actual zombie uprising was in progress around the world. If you like the idea, just search for "Zombies", as all of the BLITEOTW posts are supposed to be tagged with the term. As the organizer points out, "...It's a collaborative event, so the more you comment on other people's posts, link to them from your blog, spread rumours and riff on ideas, the better!"
I think this sounds like a fun idea, so I'll be participating here at Sci-Fi Fodder. If you see something silly, that's the reason! But, I hope that you like the idea and participate here and on other participating BLITEOTW sites. Heck...I bet the Zombie attack will make the Digg front page as a news story!
It happening and it's real! Listen man - get all the food, water, and if you can't get a damn gun a small pick axe might do (you bash them in the brains with it) and hole up somewhere. They will rot, but it takes time. Only the recently deceased can ambulate. Good luck. My parents saw this kinda thing back in the sixties here in Western Pennsylvania. We can beat them - I heard on short wave there's already hunting parties out around here taking out these chowder heads. Hope where you're at allows red necks to own guns.
