Zap2It's "Fall TV Preview"

Zap2it has posted their "Fall TV Preview 2007: Best Shows" article. As you may have noticed, I use Zap2it to keep up with general TV news. In their Fall Preview post, they select five shows that they feel will be the best of the new TV season. Here is their quote:

"It's a little early to tell if any of this year's best pilots will, a la "Heroes" last year, become the season's breakout hit. What we can say, though, is that the current golden age of drama isn't ending anytime soon. All five of our favorites for the fall are hour-long shows, and though several of them have substantial comedic elements, they're all dramas. There's an action-packed remake, a grown-up fairy tale and a cheeky spy thriller on the list, and none of them are about cops or doctors. It's a good time to be a TV fan."

So, if I may translate, they have selected "Bionic Woman", "Pushing Daisies", "Chuck", "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Reaper" as the best new shows of 2007. That's right - four of the five are Sci-Fi themed!

I am a very happy guy right now! Of course, I realize that good reviews will not prevent early cancellations (see "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip"), but it is still very good news.

And, for the record, if the show features a cop, doctor or lawyer, it is a pretty good bet that I am not watching - it's too much like real life!
