In the wake of the cancellation notice for "The 4400", a mail-in campaign has been organized as a last ditch effort to get the USA Network to reconsider its decision. Here is the blurb from the SCI FI Wire article:
"Inspired by successful fan mailings of peanuts (to save CBS' Jericho) and Tabasco sauce (for The CW's Roswell), fans will ship sunflower seeds, a favorite of 4400 character Dr. Burkhoff (Jeffrey Combs), in a coordinated mailing daily for a week, starting Feb. 1. "
If you head over to SaveThe4400.net, you can buy the sunflower seeds via the website. The fans have also organized an online petition at SaveThe4400.com (which I've signed), which has more than 8,200 signatures to date. So, to summarize - .net = seeds, .com = petition. Got it?
"The 4400" was canceled in December, after four great seasons. Of all the recent 'Save Our Show' campaigns - more than "Jericho", more than "Journeyman" - this is the show that I would love to see saved!
Please send seeds, write letters, pass the word. It will all help to make this a successful campaign. Hopefully, the powers that be will listen to the fans who provide them with their bottom line of profits. We do have a voice. We just have to make it heard.

I like watching shows like 4440, but why bother if they are all being canceled?
If they cancel Lost or Heroes next a lot of people will get very angry and not bother becoming a fan of a great show again.
