There are new episodes this week!
Yup - after a lull, we finally get new shows to watch, with "Lost" and "Supernatural" at the forefront. Here are the items of note:
Wednesday, January 30th
"Lost" (ABC, 9:00 PM)
ABC is graciously re-airing the finale from last season to prep us for the season debut on Thursday. According to the story I read, the episode will be accompanied by text on the bottom of the screen featuring clues and back story. Sounds like a cool idea!
Thursday, January 31st
ABC
"Lost" (8:00 PM EST)
The requisite recap show. Heck, I am so starved for entertainment that there isn't even a question if I will record this or not. Still, a recap with a show like this is a good idea.
"Lost" (9:00 PM EST)
The season premiere!
"Eli Stone" (10:00 PM EST)
OK - I know this is a strech for the Sci-Fi categorization, but the story of lawyer that has visions sounds like a gateway drug to better Sci-Fi. Executive Producer Greg Berlanti is responsible for the likes of "Everwood", "Brothers & Sisters", and "Dirty Sexy Money", so it will be watchable, if a bit sappy. I am giving it a chance.
The CW
"Smallville" (8:00 PM EST)
A new episode that features James Marsters ("Spike" from "Buffy") as Brainiac. I don't follow "Smallville" anymore...but, I do have that dual-tuner TiVo with nothing to record, so who knows!
"Supernatural" (9:00 PM)
Oh yeah! We finally get a "Ruby" backstory episode. I have to figure out how to watch both "Supernatural" and "Lost" on Thursday (without calling in sick to work on Friday). It will be a late night!
