"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"
While watching NFL Football for a few hours today, I was constantly reminded of an event that is scheduled to occur on Sunday. An event so gigantic that it is heralded (in the commercials) as "the biggest television event of the season!". The event? The debut of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles".
Way to build up expectations, FOX! Sheesh - if it doesn't do "American Idol" numbers after that build up, will you consider it a failure?
So, even though I thought the hyperbole was over the top, there is an important reminder here. The show premiere on Sunday night (FOX) at 8:00 PM EST. Then, on Monday, the second episode will air at 9:00 PM EST.
I hate this debut format. Sure, we get to see two episodes back to back, which does really give a good idea of what the series will be like. However, if the networks want non-TiVo viewers, I would humbly suggest that pick a day and time and stick to it! I have spoken to several folks at my day job (who are all excited to see the show) and they had no idea that a second episode was scheduled for Monday. If they did not set up a TiVo Season Pass (love those!), they would have missed the second episode...and seriously damaged the chances of their watching the third episode.
So, here is your official reminder - set the DVR for Sunday AND Monday.
