"Moonlight" & DirecTV

DirecTV is putting out feelers regarding "Moonlight"!

MoonlightLine.com's Leeser was contacted by a DirecTV representative to run a poll on their site. Evidently, they had met Leeser at a convention and also knew that their servers were strong enough to handle the load. Here is the poll question:

If they [DirecTV] sponsor the show - which of the following apply?

[ ] No problem. I already have DirecTV!

[ ] I'll switch to DirecTV in a hot second!

     [ ] Not switching.

There were already approximately 1500 votes when I checked this out today. To add your vote and input, just post on the MoonlightLine.com forum. DirecTV will be monitoring the poll results, so if you are interested in saving the show, get over there, register (it's quick) and post!

Thanks to Barbara for the info and links!

Thanks for the article, Fred...we appreciate every bit of support in the fight to save Moonlight. Yeah, we are some of the most dedicated (okay, rabid) fans around these days...

Thanks for the article Fred! We need the word to get out to all the Moonlight people to vote! We are SO ON!

Actually, we contacted DirecTV by phone just a few days before the Moonlight Convention in Los Angeles. A dialogue was established and has continued to this day. DirecTV found our proprosal intriguing, and just the other day that they reached out to Leeser and asked her to host this poll on moonlightline.com. Thanks, Fred, for the shout out and continued support. Please, those still wishing to show support and help us save Moonlight, what can it hurt to vote in this poll? It takes very little time and you'll hopefully be helping to save Moonlight!

Thank you for the post regarding Moonlight. This show is one of the best ones I've seen in decades. I just have to know what happens with Mick and Beth and see more of snarky Josef, and Guitar hero Logan. A show that wins its time slot and demo every week w/o much advertising has to be good. God willing another network will realize this and give the show a chance.

I appreciate your article about "Moonlight" and our fight to save it. This is the first time in my 44 years that a series' cancellation has spurred me to campaign for its survival. "Moonlight" is that special to me.

Thanks for the support Fred. I, we really appreciate all the positive feed back we have been getting from you and others. Some people think we are working for a lost cause, I don't. The only thing wrong would be NOT to fight for something one believes in. If not this country would not exist. The masses, the majority should make the decisions, not a choice few and this is what we are fighting for, something as a large group, here and around the world, want very much to see happen. Bring us the show we want to see with the actors we enjoy watching. Thank you.

Thank you for the new info on Moonlight. I would change to DirecTV in a heartbeat if they sponsor Moonlight and help to get it back on TV for season 2. I think you will find that Moonlight fans are very determined and we are not going away. We want our show back and we will not accept anything less.

Thanks, Fred, for passing on the word about this exciting development in our fight to save this excellent TV series. I'm so hopeful that DirecTV will help Moonlight find a new home. If they sponsor the show, my family and I will subscribe to DirecTV immediately!

Thanks SO much, Fred, for helping us in our fight. Moonlight also has a huge international fan base. We are amazed at what you Americans are ready to do to get your voices heard by powerful companies, and we thank you because you are working for us. We are also trying to help. We need Moonlight back.

Thank you for the article. All the Monlight fans are working all sort of angles to get the show a new season; we solicit networks and cable networks SciFi, TNT, USA, FX and some form of sponsor from DTV. I am one of those fans that refuse to believe Moonlight is really over, and I’m so glad that our goal of saving Moonlight is heard.

I am just encouraged by the progress. I think this DirecTV idea has a lot of good things going for it...and it just might work!

Mick St. John is the best vampire on Moonlight. I hope that DirecTV renews
the vampire-detective show. ML is an awesome drama on tv.
