"New Amsterdam" Star to Lead "Virtuality"

"Virtuality", the new FOX sci-fi pilot from the mind of Ronald Moore ("Battlestar Galactica"), is really gearing up its casting efforts.

Since the show centers on the the crew of the starship Phaeton (and the virtual reality engine within the ship), I figured the cast would be fairly large. Moore and company are aggressively filling out the roles with accomplished actors.

Last week, it was announced that the former "New Amsterdam" star, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, was signed on as Mission Commander Frank Pike. Now, Clea Duvall has been added to the cast. Clea is one of my favorites, with credits in "Carnivale" and, most recently, "Heroes" (as the FBI agent). She joins the cast as the co-pilot and ship's engineer. Back to back good casting moves!

So, "Virtuality" stays on the radar. I am liking what I see.
