How "Journeyman" Would Have Ended

I know there were a ton of "Journeyman" fans out there. Even though I was only partially hooked, I did agree that NBC pulled the plug too quickly, after only 13 episodes. Many questions still remain on how the show would have evolved - and the good folks at AintItCoolNews have released an interview with series creator Kevin Falls that provides some hints about what was planned.

The interview was done back in December, but AICN held it back because they "...were asked not to reveal the secrets...until he was certain the small-screen adventures of Dan Vasser had come to an end". I can respect that.

I'll leave it to you to click through the link for the details. But, my current thoughts are a little better than my initial, mixed impression. Falls had a general idea of where he wanted to go with the series (good), but the network nixed some of his plans (bad - hate it when they do that!). I was a dismayed at the lack of a concrete, five year plan, such as a J. Michael Straczynski would have used, but I can also appreciate the method of setting forth an idea and characters and then letting then interact to see where an idea goes.

Overall, I think that "Journeyman" would have evolved, under Falls guidance, into a very solid show. He was clearly a newcomer to the Sci-Fi genre and I think he learned alot from the process. I'll be watching for the next Kevin Falls show, to be sure!
