"True Blood" Already Renewed!

The good folks over at AICN are reporting that HBO has already renewed "True Blood" for a second season!

This is pretty quick, since only two episodes have aired to date. However, I am not completely surprised, since I said in my other posts that it was pretty darn good! According to the press release, the premiere episode of "True Blood" drew more than four million viewers. More importantly, the second episode posted a 24% gain in viewers over the first week's debut. That translates into excellent of mouth on the show. Thus, HBO pulled the trigger on the renew order.

The second season is set to debut in the summer of 2009. I can only hope that my other new favorite show, "The Middleman", will get a renewal notice in the near future.
