Sci-Fi Fodder

Cross-marketing is alive and well at FOX. I just read a story over at Futon Critic that reports that FOX has released "Ambush", which is a massive multi-player online (MMO) game based on "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles".

"Ambush" (available at ) has two versions - an online mode, and an iPhone/iTouch mode. In fact, "Ambush" is touted as the "first MMO playable on iPhones and iTouch devices", so if you are a proud owner of one of those devices, you are in luck.

The online gameplay involves trying to predict and trap the movements of the iPhone players, while the iPhone player's goal is to survive in the virtual city and avoid the traps set by the online players. The iPhone's GPS location is transmitted to the game, which maps to your online movement within the city. Sounds pretty innovative to me!

The game is currently free, so if you have an iPhone or iTouch device, it's probably worth checking out.

And, remember, the inspiration for the game, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", airs Monday nights at at 8:00 PM EST (7:00 PM CST) on FOX.
