"Kyle XY" Cancelled
It looks like it is the end of the road for "Kyle XY". Zap2it.com is reporting that ABC Family drama "...will not be returning after this season".
For those of you not familar with the show, "Kyle XY" started its third season a few weeks ago. It centers on the character of Kyle, who is a teenager with special powers, a missing belly button and ties to a mysterious corporation. With cloning, superpowers and a healthy dose of teen drama, it seemed to fit the ABC Family demographic quite well.
However, ABC Family is trending in another direction. With the cancellation of "Kyle XY" and the unannounced, but almost certain demise of my personal favorite, "The Middleman", ABC Family has purged all vestiges of Sci-Fi from their schedule. Instead, they are filling the airwaves with likes of "Ruby and the Rockits," "10 Things I Hate About You", "Perfect 10", "Roommates", "Sophie", "Greek", " Lincoln Heights" and, finally, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager".
I sense a pattern...and I don't like it one bit! I enjoyed having an additional outlet for Sci-Fi, even if it was a bit cheesier than I would have liked. The more series that are available, the better chance that I would have find something really good! (like, "The Middleman"!)
So, I mourn the loss of ABC Family as a valid contributor to the Sci-Fi scene. I hope someone jumps in to fill the void.

Its a show that has touched so many people, brought families together, and its been such a positive impact on thousands of viewers. I really hope this show can some how still be saved. It still has a lot of potential.
Plz help in the saving campaign. Save the Tub, bring us more Kyle XY!

I'm glad to hear that Greek has been signed for more but why Lincoln Heights? That show is boring! I know, I watched all 3 seasons on my DVR and fast forwarded through three quarters of it. Lincoln Heights is a show I definately pulled off my "to watch" list. I think the only reason Kyle's numbers fell is because of how long they made people wait (like 9 months) and the writer's strike. Wake up ABC Family and get on the ball! You're taking away the good programming and leaving the crappy! Kyle XY is the reason I started watching ABC Family to begin with! It's great family programming that I am actually able to watch with my kids. I DVR everything else I watch (including Greek and Secret Life) because I feel like some of the situations are not kid appropriate (I don't want to explain to my 7 year old daughter why a 15 year old girl is pregnant or why another character on the show thinks sleeping around with guys is what will make them love her). If Kyle goes off the air I will stop watching Greek and Secret Life also; those shows are nothing compared to Kyle. I hope that they don't cancel Kyle XY, but if they do hopefully another network will pick it up. It's been known to happen (the UPN picked up Buffy and Roswell after the WB canceled them - you know, before they merged to become the CW).
Also, they claim they read all their email in the feedback section.

I mean why the hell, excuse my language would they cancel a great show that I know has been pull it weight and bringing in the ratings. I mean just to get other shows on. I mean why Cancel something that is going good to put something else on that might not be so great. I mean if they don't have a time slot for the other shows then don't put them back or try to take off a sorry show and not a great show like Kyle Xy. I mean I am a 33 year old guy here and my sister is 26 and my wife is 26 also and we all love the show. I mean Kyle Xy works for all age groups. I admit I like Greek and Lincoln Heights also and would like to see them back, but do your best to take off the sorry shows and PLEASE PLEASE keep Kyle Xy... I mean why should we even bother watching any damn thing Abc Puts on anymore because once someone gets into it and gets attached it gets Cancelled. Well if Kyle gets taking off, I hope people just don't watch Abc anymore and show them that they hurt theirselves for taking off a great show. I mean hell if shows keep getting cancelled, maybe we all should say hell with cable or dish or whatever service you all got and just stick to watching Dvds or going to the movies. Well that is all I got to say on this. Please don't let me down. Keep Kyle... I mean 10 Things I hate about you, they can put that on Fox or somewhere. Some of the shows that coming back I think will do worse then what Kyle is bringing in, so keep Kyle...

I myself watched Season 1 when i was in the US and now that i'm back in the Philippines, I still watch it thru the episodes on the ABC website. I really hope they don't cancel the show. I mean, there's alot of angles and options for the show waiting to happen! lots of plots that can be revised and a whole lot of "storytelling" opportunities!
I don't know what i can do to help save this show since i am "continents" away from the network but If there's one thing I've learned from the show, its to never stop believing. That anything is possible with Kyle and that by some miracle, the show will still be aired but in a different time slot. If they cancel Kyle XY, i will go on a hunger strike, like ghandi!!! actually, probably not, i love food too much, BUT I MAY LIKE KYLE XY MORE!!!!! I just recently have started watching and I look forward to the episodes ALL WEEK!! If you wanna take off a show, take off Secret Life! I mean, where is the story leading to after she has the baby? It dissapoints me to see such a great show be cancelled. it was truly phenomonal and made me cry during some episodes, and i rarely cry. i hope you rethink your decision and keep kyle xy.

I mean i love this show, everything about it, it has never disappointed me. And personally I think The Secret Life of An American Teenager is horrible! I do not like it, i hate everything all the characters do. I think the fact that Kyle XY is one of the best shows they have ever written alongside with greek.

I love Kyle XY to death I am so fucking pissed right now its not even funny. I am sick and tired of all the good shows goes. The show started getting good and now bye bye this isnt fair and it better got a good reason why its leaving.

ABC needs another season of Kyle!!!!
I am both angry and sad at the loss of Kyle xy. It was by far my favourite tv show. With a mixture of teen drama scifi and comedy what was not to love. I can only hope that the highly intelligent people will reconsider their mistake and give Kyle xy fans another series. We need closure! Kyle xy was one of those extraordinary shows that really made you think. Fans all around the world are banding together in an attempt to save the show!
