Megan Fox is "Fathom"

Megan Fox (from \"Transformers\") is set to star in an adaptation of the Michael Turner comic book, \"Fathom\". For those of you not familar with \"Fathom\", I highly recommend the book.

\"Fathom\" story centers around a young girl named Aspen, who was found abandoned on a cruise ship that mysterious reappears after having been missing for years. She is adopted by a naval captain that was involved with the ship's discovery. She becomes a marine biologist (as well as a champion swimmer). However, she eventually comes to realize that she is part of an underwater race.

Screen Rant (always on top of things) asks a good question:

\"Does Megan Fox seem like a good fit for the role of Aspen?\"

I'll answer - she's perfect. Megan Fox, from her work in \"Transformers\", looks to be at least a competent actress. While it's true that I don't foresee an Oscar in her future, her look is *perfect* for Aspen. And, really, getting the appropriate look is half of the battle with a comic-based movie.

I'll be looking forward to \"Fathom\". In the meantime, check out some of Michael Turner's work at the Michael Turner Shrine - his artistic talent was phenonmenal and Aspen was one of his best creations. He also drew \"Tomb Raider\" and \"Witchblade\", so you probably are more familar with his work than you might think. Turner passed away last summer, but his creations will continue to be enjoyed. He was a talent.
