Getting Back in the Flow
After an extended vacation, I am back online. No more campouts with the kids, staying out late, or generally shirking all responsibility - it's time to get back in the flow.
Quite a few things happened while I was on break. Here is a short list of the items that caught my eye while I was on break:
- The 40th Anniverary of Apollo 11 was huge. The conspiracy crowd was having a field day - after all, there has to be some reason we have not been back. My take - the government decided to implement 'oversight' and 'paperwork', which makes it impossible to innovate. But, that's just me (curse you, Sarbanes and Oxley!). Or, alternatively, maybe the aliens told us not to come back. Heck, I'm just not sure.
- Eureka is back! My favorite summer show still makes me smile.
- Warehouse 13 debuted...and I still have to watch the first episode. The overall reviews were pretty positive, although my buddies say it was 'meh'.
- "Virtuality" came and went...it was good! This just in - FOX still doesn't know good Sci-Fi.
- "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" looks awesome. My kids are stoked.
Even though the firewall at my other job has made it a bit more difficult to post (curse you, Websense!), I have a ton of subjects that have caught my attention. After all, the new Fall season is quickly approaching - and we'll be there to sort out the good from the 'meh'.
