I am not a comic book guy for the most part and had never heard of Iron Man before the previews to this movie. I almost didn't even go see it, but the good reviews by the critics made me decide to give it a chance. I was NOT disappointed. It was fantastic.

A lot of my buddies had reservations about Robert Downey Jr., due to the same reasons as Mike (doesn't look the part). But, I did have to remind them about the booze and the women - and how RDJr wouldn't really have to act that part of the character.

It's good to see non-comic fans liking the movie though - it gives me more ammo to convince the wife to see it (and I am currently set for later this week!).
